Research and Development

Giunti Labs' R&D department works on several research branches of Information Technology and contributes to the activities of the main eLearning standards and specifications bodies (IEEE LTSC, ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36, CEN/ISSS WSLT, AICC, IMS, ADL-SCORM and OKI).

The main research branches are:

• New generation of open modular software architectures based on cutting edge technologies (XML, Web Services, Semantic Web, 3g Devices & Networks) and oriented to a seamless integration of eLearning, Content and Knowledge Management systems with third party software products
• Highly interactive content production based on innovative pedagogical approaches (Simulation, Role Playing, Case Based Reasoning, Learning by Doing e Collaborative Learning)
• New solutions for training services using blended environments
• Mobile (Context Awareness and Location Based Services using WI-FI, GPRS e UMTS architectures)
